The Board also held a discussion about a data point from a recent benchmarking study of Federations conducted by the Jewish Federations of North America.  Our Federation ranked fifth among the largest Federations as far as the percentage of donors under the age of 45 (that's good, by the way).  The data seems to show that the higher percentage of donors under 45, the stronger the campaign in both terms of dollars and number of donors.  Our Board took time to hold animated and engaging table discussions on this specific topic to brainstorm strategies for us to implement to grow our young adult donor base.  All too often, we've left those discussions to the Young Adult Division alone.  Having our top leadership engaged in the topic, I believe, will help us actualize some great plans. 

I will not be writing next Friday as I begin my recovery from an overdose of tryptophan on Thanksgiving so let me wish each of you and your families a very happy Thanksgiving and a very happy Chanukah.
